- First meeting of the season
Today was our first meeting of the season! We went over everything from meeting the leadership team, mentors, and coaches. We also went over our various subdivisions our team has to show students the opportunities available to them. We then informed students about the merch store and that it will be closing November 20th. We will be using Direct To Transfer printing this year. Our team has four core values; Service, Pride, Unity, and Dedication. Today we practiced the Pride and Unity core value by splitting students into groups to do a spaghetti and marshmallows team bonding exercise. Next weeks meeting: Tuesday November 12: Safety & Room tour Meeting, our team takes safety very seriously and requires all students to take attend a safety meeting to use our tools. All of our robots in our history and their accomplishments. Robots Waffle Fry Season: Charged Up Drive Train: Tank Drive(2 omni wheels in the back) Status: In Progress Objective: Drop off on top nodes Name description: We named our 2023 competition robot Waffle Fry because of all the random metal poles going to places making it look like a waffle fry. Overview: Waffle Fry can pick up at the double substations and then drop off at any of the nodes. Tater Tantrum Season: Infinite Recharge (2021) Drive Train: Standard Tank Drive Status: Decommissioned Objective: Shoot the target with driver Name Description: This season, our robot was making constant squeaking noises whenever we would move it and whenever it would shoot, it would make a loud rumble sound, so we gave it the proper name of Tater Tantrum. We later found out that the squeaking problem was cause by some loose bolts in our motors. Overview: Darth Tater was a fresh start for our team as the majority of the team that year was new and our team had to focus on training in new students rather than improving the team. Darth Tater Season: Rapid React Drive Train: Standard Tank Drive Status: Decommissioned Objective: Top Goal, second bar Name Description: This robot was name Darth Tater due to us having a potato and a Darth Vader pez dispenser on hand and we created a mascot with it, and because that's what the team voted on. Overview: Darth Tater was a fresh start for our team as the majority of the team that year was new and our team had to focus on training in new students rather than improving the team. Unknown Season: Infinite Recharge Drive Train: Standard Tank Drive Status: Disrepair Objective: Score in low goal and engage hyper drive. Name description: We name this robot due to Overview: This robot was one of our more lackluster robots as we just played it safe and simple while designing.
